Overview

The analyst– Digital Forensics & Expert Services role, assists in data preservation and digital investigations in complex litigation cases by leveraging knowledge of digital forensic tools, technology and protocols related to the collection and management of electronically stored information (ESI) from a wide variety of data sources.

 

London office-based role – with opportunity to work remotely from home a couple of days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks related to the forensic examination of ESI under supervision of a Senior Analyst and Manager.
  • Assist with testing and research for new workflows and methodologies.
  • Perform remote and onsite collections in a defensible manner.
  • Travels to onsite locations (regional and international) with a team or independently to perform data collections.
  • Follows Digital Forensic good practice methodologies (ISO17025 standard and ACPO Principles of Digital Evidence) in all aspects of the forensic and eDiscovery workflow.
  • Displays professionalism and competence in communications to clients.
  • Assists with project management of forensics works for the team, i.e email communications.
  • Ability to be responsive to internal and external communications.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of evidence management.
  • Displays comfort operating in a client-facing environment.
  • Ability to work independently on-site on small sized engagements.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in forensic computing or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in related forensic and consulting roles.

Other Requirements:  

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Availability for short notice or weekend work, including travel when necessary.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience in client facing consulting role.
  • Good understanding of computer networking in corporate environments.
  • Experience with onsite forensic collections.
  • Certifications in EnCase, Cellebrite, Nuix, CFE or similar.
