Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic Research and Prototyping team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of talented engineers, driving the architecture and delivery of innovative, cutting-edge solutions, and ensuring that proof of concepts (POCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) are transformed into scalable, production-ready applications. Your passion for technology, especially AI, will be key to your success in this role as you design and oversee the implementation of robust, future-proof systems.

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Architecture Design: Design and oversee the architecture of full-stack applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the latest industry trends and best practices.
• Project Delivery: Drive the successful delivery of projects, from initial concept through to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Innovation & AI Integration: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, with a keen interest in AI, and lead the integration of AI/ML models into applications where applicable.
• Collaboration: Work closely with researchers, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of new features and technologies.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee code reviews, testing, and debugging processes, maintaining high standards of code quality and reliability.
• Process Optimization: Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration practices to streamline development and deployment processes.

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python, Next.js, React.JS, and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in full-stack development and DevOps principles.
• Architectural Vision: Proven experience in designing and scaling application architectures.
• AI Enthusiast: A strong interest in AI and experience or willingness to integrate AI/ML models into applications.

Nice to Have:

• Backend Development: Deep experience with FastAPI/Django and cloud-based backends using Firebase or Supabase.
• Cutting-Edge Technologies: Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration and experience with cloud deployment strategies.
• Innovation Mindset: An eagerness to explore and implement the latest technological advancements, particularly in the realm of AI.
