Join a dynamic team that designs, builds, and supports a variety of Enterprise Applications. The Sr. Data Governance Engineer will help to drive the execution and adherence to the Enterprise Data Governance strategy and framework. Areas of focus and support Lead will focus on data governance strategy, process improvement, and workflow creation to support our enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, UKG, and Concur. 

 

The ideal Sr. Data Governance Engineer will be an energetic self-starter that is able to make well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous data issues and support data governance framework documentation and data dictionaries. The role requires effective communication to individuals at various levels of the technical and business communities. 

 

 

In this role, the Sr. Data Governance Engineer will support the Senior Director of Data Governance to help drive the governance and quality of the data and consolidation of applications thorough data migration, Master Data domains and ensure data and process is fit for business use. Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:     

  • Contribute to the development of data standards, rules, and quality metrics for data domains and metadata in partnership with data owners, analysts, sales & operations teams, and other stakeholders 
  • Execute and monitor data quality for all Master Data Domains 
  • Identify, consolidate, and resolve data quality issues to enable trusted data in partnership with business owners and SMEs 
  • Ensure data is documented and maintained in an Enterprise Data Dictionary 
  • Monitor key KPI's to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within respective domain(s) 
  • Understand data lineage and provide data flow guidance to system administrators and application owners 

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or Information Technology or Software Engineering or Mathematics preferred. 

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:  

  • 5+ years of related experience in Data Management and/or Data Analytics 
  • Experience in data migration 
  • Current working knowledge of industry best practices such as DAMA/EDM 
  • Experience working with other departments, customers and stakeholders on data quality issues, rules, and standards including the documentation of business requirements 
  • Experience with Customer Master Data 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Governance strategies and processes 
  • Knowledge and experience working with current technologies supporting Data Governance Frameworks, such as Informatica or Collibra 
  • Experience with data quality monitoring, data quality tools, data cleansing 
  • Proven record in excellent communication, collaboration, and influence 

 

Other Requirements:    

  • eDiscovery experience not required but preferred 
  • Experience in Project Management desirable 
  • CDMP certification a plus 
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite and/or other CRM / ERP solutions a plus 
  • Experience with SnapLogic or other middleware iPaaS solutions a plus
