Proposal Writer

This is a critical business role within the Global Revenue Organization. The RFP team serves to assist in the process of winning business we are currently bidding on and to provide dynamic support for our key accounts. This role will serve to manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for a global sales team of more than 150 members. Candidate must prove the ability to be nimble with varying and often new project requests and have the ability to handle multiple project timelines and large project work streams.

Essential Responsibilities:   

• Manage the entire proposal process, acting as a liaison between our team and the client.
• Develop and manage the proposal schedule and timelines.
• Schedule and lead RFP response kick-off meetings and status meetings with the sales team and subject matter experts, as needed.
• Manage the creation of a proposal response (content, format, etc.), coordinating with internal contributors and subject matter experts.
• Provide final proofread, edits and standardizing of text for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension and style.
• Responsible for submission of RFP responses and follow ups with clients as needed.
• Maintain and organize content consistently used in RFP responses via Content Database.

 Additional Responsibilities/Details:  

• Coordinate due diligence questionnaires and other client assessments with various departments, as needed.
• Coordinate with the Information Security team on security and risk assessments, as needed.
• Leverage contacts internally to remain up to date on service line innovation, new service offerings, and technical content.
• This position requires frequent, direct communication (written and oral) with current and prospective clients.
• The RFP Manager experiences recurring work situations but must also deal with frequent variations from normal practices.
• This position requires performance of tasks that at times require high levels of complexity and/or urgency.
• This position identifies areas for development and leads in the creation and implementation of new processes or procedures as required.
• This position operates from established practices and procedures with supervision from the Marketing Director.

Minimum Education Requirements:    [

• BA/BS degree required.

Minimum Experience Requirements:  

• Minimum of 5 years relevant RFP and sales support experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• The ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines efficiently and effectively is required.

Other Requirements:   

• Experience writing and editing custom content.
• Good communication and the ability to clearly articulate issues and problem-solve as necessary are all valued skills in this position and are critical for the department as a whole.
• The RFP Manager may work with multiple departmental personnel and clients simultaneously. Contacts may contain confidential/sensitive information, necessitating discretion at all times.
