Overview

Consilio is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development and M&A who will be responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and

partnerships to support Consilio’s long-term growth objectives. This new position will work closely with executive leaders and external partners to shape corporate strategy and manage complex transactions from inception to execution. Additionally, this position will represent the Consilio brand in the larger industry and will maintain relationships with current and potential investors and partners.

 

The role requires a deep understanding of industry dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to effectively identify and seize high-impact opportunities that drive organizational success. This position may be located on the East Coast or remote and will require travel as necessary for meetings and events.

 

This would be a remote position with frequent travel; ideal candidate would be located on East Coast

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives centered on long-term
  • Work closely with business leaders on strategy development, including identifying current product adjacencies, evaluating build/buy/partner options, and collaborating on target selection criteria.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of industry landscapes, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics to identify potential M&A targets and partnerships.
  • Lead market research, identify key trends, translate data into impactful insights, and conduct due diligence to evaluate the strategic fit and business potential of prospective deals.
  • Develop pipeline of prospective targets: source, evaluate, and structure M&A opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of deal execution, including valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and integration
  • Manage relationships with external advisors (investment banks, legal counsel, accountants, consultants) and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • In partnership with Chief Strategy Officer, identify and negotiate strategic alliances, joint ventures, and investments that create new revenue streams or enhance existing ones.
  • Cultivate network of industry contacts, venture capital/private equity firms, and investment banking/advisory executives to bring knowledge of market trends and opportunities for strategic
  • Perform complex financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis to inform M&A and partnership
  • Present business cases and investment recommendations to the executive team and the Board of
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful post-merger integration and realization of acquisition value, including ongoing performance management and reporting to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or related
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions in a public company, high-growth late-stage private company, or a similar environment. Multi-country experience preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of corporate strategy, market dynamics, and industry
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in M&A deal execution and management of strategic
  • Current or prior experience working with legal technology, tech-enabled services, financial services, real estate, or another relevant industry sector.
  • Progressive career with experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, management consulting, corporate development, and/or strategic finance.
  • Strong personal network of investment banking and other lending, growth, and private equity industry
