Role Overview:

As a part of Global Support Services, the Application Support Engineer will technical support key eDiscovery systems including industry wide applications as well as a suite of internal solutions that set Consilio as the leader in what we do.  his role requires a strong aptitude for troubleshooting, independent problem-solving, and a solid understanding of enterprise application architecture. The engineer will work both independently and collaboratively within a global team to ensure application stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across multiple layers (web server, application server, database).
  • Monitor and maintain uptime, scalability, and performance of eDiscovery platforms and custom-built solutions.
  • Analyze logs and system behavior using tools like Event Viewer, IIS Manager, and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Respond to support tickets within defined SLAs, providing clear communication and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Operations, Project Management, DBA, and Infrastructure.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and internal tools.
  • Use scripting and query languages (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL, JavaScript) to automate tasks and solve unique problems.
  • Participate in after-hours testing and support rotations as part of a 24/7 global support model.

Qualifications

Education:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Experience:  

  • 4+ years of experience in technical support or application engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with Relativity or similar eDiscovery platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write basic to intermediate T-SQL queries.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments, including use of the command line interface (CLI).
  • Practical experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell and RegEx for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic and administrative tools such as Event Viewer, IIS Manager, and SQL Server Management Studio.
