Overview

The Nuix Data Consultant is a client-dedicated role that supports the client’s Corporate Legal Department in its use of Nuix.  This role requires strong investigation skills, technical knowledge and Nuix expertise, as well as robust collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation, process creation, and documentation of Nuix environment.
  • Work within a project timeline, achieving milestones throughout the process
  • Respond to internal client requests for Nuix-related discovery support, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in Nuix
  • Facilitate the loading and processing of data in the Nuix environment, addressing processing errors and other data issues
  • Generate search term hit reports and other discovery workflow reports for client and counsel
  • Provide high-quality, SME-level support for the receipt and processing of data.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control review at critical stages in Nuix workflows
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support
  • Communicate with counsel and other client stakeholders to keep them informed of workflow status (both in writing and verbally, as appropriate)
  • Conduct training sessions with client stakeholders to educate on Nuix workflows and service delivery
  • Analyze and deploy best practices applicable to the handling and analysis of electronic evidence
  • Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain Nuix scripts to automate repetitive tasks, metadata extraction, and QC workflows.

 

Additional Responsibilities/Details:  

  • Provide ad hoc strategic support to case teams regarding the Nuix environment and matter-specific discovery workflows
  • Assist with refining and improving Nuix workflows and policies, including revising process documentation as needed
  • Track ongoing processing and review workflow enhancements, as well as standardization efforts
  • Stay up-to-date regarding discovery best practices and industry technologies
  • Develop and manage relationships with discovery stakeholders
  • It is preferred that this person have knowledge of Consilio’s methods for REL ONE matter creation, pre-data processing, post processing and productions.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of, and comfort with, technical discovery concepts
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple and concise manner
  • Attention to detail and dedication to high-quality customer service
  • Must be proactive and a self-starter
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced work environment that prioritizes clear and concise communications and a bias toward action
