Overview

In this role, you will sit with the Litigation and Regulatory Operations team, and work with paralegals, Legal technologists, and lawyers to operationalize the production of legal work and reduce risk. You’ll enjoy breaking things to see how they work, improving on what works, discarding what doesn't, and learning from both. You should be passionate about technology and solving high-impact, ambiguous, business problems in the legal space. You will be responsible for managing operational duties, streamlining legal processes, and implementing technical solutions. Successful candidates will be clientservice oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, assign and coordinate high volumes of incoming documents and tasks with little guidance
  • Make independent decisions and take ownership on the handling of service inquires, document coordination, and case assignments
  • React with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround with tight deadlines
  • Be proactive and pay attention to details when solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Draft effective correspondences and summaries
  • Assess process improvement and transformation opportunities, and partner with process owners and stakeholders to scope opportunities, define problem statements and objectives, and structure projects and teams.
  • Track documents and maintain metric reports
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels inside the company

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:   

  • Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience Requirements:  

  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in related roles

Other Requirements:  

  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional team or independently with minimal supervision
  • Understands basic project management approaches and problem solving
  • Possesses strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of personnel internally and externally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and comfortable working with sensitive client data
  • Familiarity with legal industry (preferred)
  • Understands database concepts
