Overview

The Privacy Consultant supports the in-house Legal Department in managing and operationalizing the company’s privacy program. This role combines consultative program management with hands-on privacy compliance support, governance oversight, vendor coordination, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong organizational and program management skills, basic familiarity with privacy frameworks, and experience driving
cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Compliance & Risk Management
• Support oversight of privacy compliance programs.
• Maintain records of data collection and processing activities.
• Assist with data retention and deletion practices.
• Support internal audits, risk assessments, and remediation tracking.


Privacy Governance & Advisory
• Manage the privacy legal approval workflow.
• Document changes in data practices and policies.
• Provide ongoing privacy guidance to business stakeholders.
• Support privacy impact assessments and governance reviews.


Training & Reporting
• Deliver privacy training using existing materials.
• Track and report training completion and compliance metrics.
• Develop dashboards and leadership reporting (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).


Vendor & Cross-Border Data Governance
• Manage vendor privacy compliance and third-party risk assessments.
• Track supplier data inventories.
• Facilitate data subject rights requests and coordinate with vendors to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Monitor remediation efforts for non-compliant practices.


Program & Administrative Support
• Manage privacy initiatives using project management tools (e.g., Wrike).
• Prepare reports, dashboards, meeting notes, and documentation.
• Provide ongoing operational oversight across privacy workstreams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, legal operations, or information governance.
• General familiarity with privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
• Basic knowledge of records management and data governance.
• Strong program management, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Experience with reporting/dashboard tools (Tableau, PowerBI) preferred.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
