Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

  • Championing our brand: continuing to build upon our award-winning employer-of-choice culture that attracts and retains exceptional talent.
  • Managing HR processes: managing the whole employee lifecycle end-to-end including gathering client feedback, constructive performance and development conversations, supporting wellbeing and dealing with general HR queries.
  • Talent Acquisition: supporting recruitment processes, background checking and matching great lawyers with great clients.
  • Owning the onboarding experience: welcoming new starters, running inductions and setting our people up for success.
  • Employee experience: supporting our people, checking in, listening, problem‑solving, celebrating wins and making sure our people feel part of LOD wherever they’re working.
  • Driving engagement & culture: fostering a strong sense of belonging with coffee catch ups, lunches, care packages and creating ways to keep our community connected.
  • Bringing events to life: helping create memorable events like mid‑year dinners, end‑of‑year celebrations, socials and client events.
  • Keeping our systems humming: maintaining accurate data and reporting and contributing to continuously improving our systems.
  • Project management: Co-ordinating projects and managing stakeholder engagement ensuring key deadlines are met.

Qualifications

You are:

  • A genuine team player who enjoys helping people succeed
  • Warm, organised, proactive and skilled at juggling priorities
  • Curious, positive and always looking for ways to make things better
  • Confident communicating with lawyers, clients and internal teams
  • Experienced in talent acquisition, talent management, HR, legal recruitment or a similar people‑focused role (ideally within the legal industry).  Please note, lawyers, legal executive assistants and/or paralegals with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to do things differently are also welcome.
