Position Overview:

 

Global Enterprise Organization seeking fulltime Infrastructure Administrator Lead in Bangalore, India. The Supervisor will take on an elevated role within the admin team, assisting with overseeing the administration of the infrastructure, managing ticket queue and workflows, and maintaining the operations of the technical infrastructure of the organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Infrastructure Administrators, providing guidance and direction to ensure the efficient functioning of the technical infrastructure.
  • Provide expertise and support for Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware virtual environment, and storage infrastructure.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs. Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to improve SLAs and ticket resolution times.
  • Infrastructure Support: Handle daily support activities for all areas of Infrastructure, implementing change requests for standard/common changes.
  • QC Change request implementation for standard\common changes.
  • Oversee and participate with training new and old admin team members.
  • Oversee the creation of new virtual machines, groups, and user accounts, ensuring proper access control to internal systems.
  • Proactively remediate security vulnerabilities and address findings to maintain a secure infrastructure. Monitor and enforce access control.
  • Supervising the remediation of security vulnerabilities and other findings as necessary.
  • Monitor the ticket queue to ensure SLAs are met and assist with any other assigned duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
  • 4 years of IT administration
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex problem-solving techniques dealing with infrastructure support.
  • Experience with some of the following areas / concepts: 
    • Windows Server and Linux operating systems 
    • Active Directory (maintenance, group policy, permissions) 
    • VM server creation
    • Enterprise storage systems 
    • Physical server class hardware
    • Data center operations 
  • Some level of experience using a ticketing tool. ManageEngine ServiceDesk experience is a plus.
  • System monitoring and administration tool sets - VCenter, ADUC, storage management tools, etc. 
  • An understanding of networking and administration
  • Basic understanding of DNS
  • Used some security tools and software – anti-virus, anti-malware, patch management
  • Creating\deleting accounts in Microsoft Office 365
  • Some experience with Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory

 

Other Skills

  • Industry recognized certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Linux etc) highly desirable 
  • Experience with BitDefender antivirus and ManageEngine Patch manager 
  • Hands on experience with automation suites (Aria, Ansible, BMC, etc) 
  • Reasonable level of experience with automation and/or scripting
  • A strong desire to make a difference.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has broad perspective and understanding of business and trends in the market place; is current on business and industry trends.
